Movin' Out!

I'm trying desperately not to cry as I write this, but alas, my little girl has moved into her crib in her own room for nighttime slumber. She has spent the past 12 weeks sleeping cozily in her pack-n-play next to our bed. The countless books I've read all seem geared toward this crazy idea of sleep independence, so I guess I'll jump on board. What if I don't hear her if she wakes? She hasn't awoken in the night for the past two months, so she's likely not going to begin now. I keep sneaking in to take a look at her, perhaps hoping that she'll wake and look at me with those sweet eyes and pouty lips as if to say, "Please take me back to your room!" I knew she was going to grow up; I just didn't realize how quickly it happens.

It seems that the movie files don't want to cooperate, so I'll stick to pictures for a while. She's waking up from her nap. Let's see if her Daddy goes and gets her. Yep! What a good Papa...

New Camera for New Baby

Thanks to my beautiful mother, we now have a fancy new camera so that the life of Gracen Elise can be appropriately documented. The camera, however, is a bit intricate, and I'm still trying to figure out how to use it. Please pardon the lack of sophistication for a while as I try to mesh fancy camera and fancy blogspot into a workable relationship. I'm trying to post short video clips as well, but I'm not sure if that's even possible yet. Jessica, I'll probably need to call you for some help!! We love you all...
